This itself gives the headset an elegant look. Both the 3.5 mm cable and microphones are detachable so that you can easily pack it for travel.Unfortunately, unlike  Cloud Stinger ear cups can't be laid flat for easy storage. But the good thing is, Alpha provides with a soft protective pouch,so wear and tear during travel will not be not an issue.

Comfort

The headset is sufficiently light weight.Only 12 ounces. And the good thing is components like cable and microphone are detachable. So let's say you are only playing a single player game at this point, you can easily get rid of the microphone and reduce some unnecessary load.

The headset has Leatherette ear-cups which are extremely soft and cushy and so you won't feel any discomfort even after playing for long hours.

Gaming Performance

The Cloud Alpha has the HyperX's Dual Chamber Driver technology, which can separate the bass from the mids and highs to provide a clearer, less-distorted sound. As a result it will give you rich audio experience.Which means,
you can easily spot your enemy and enjoy the background noises -all at the same time.

Microphone and Cables

The Cloud Alpha has 4-foot 3.5mm cable, pretty lengthy for a headset. It features a handy inline remote for adjusting volume and muting the mic.Microphone and cables can be removed and kept aside when you are not using it.You will also get a 3 feet PC extension cable with separate headphone and microphone jacks to connect it to the old model desktop CPUs.

Wrapping it Up

For a $99 gaming headset, Cloud Alpha is really ahead than its competitors. The headset has everything starting from  great sound, attractive design and comfortable ear cups that you could ever wish for. One could also argue for SteelSeries Arctis 5 as a main competitor at this price range, but Cloud Alpha offers much richer audio experience for sure.
